Anyone in the Northeast use them?

I just stumbled across them and there download speed is almost triple that of Eircom's.

Im on the Middle paskage and I have to say they're great.

Usually get around 4Mb Up and down.

Got off to a shakey start but all the problems seem to be ironed out now.

It may take a while for you to get a call out but keep after them and you should be ok. Its been ages since I've needed to call them out so maybe they have improved things.

It all depends on your line of site, where are you based?

    Yep, satisfied Net1 customer here.

4 meg up/down is about average.

Yes they're good once they arrive. Middle package I believe, I'm satisfied.

Sorry to bump this thread but I have rang Net1 a couple of times over the last 2 weeks and also emailed a few times as I am thinking of going with them for my broadband. I have recently moved house into a remoteish part of Cavan and as I cant get fixed line broadband it looks like Net1 is the way to go.

Unfortunatley I have had no calls back or replies to my email so I was wondering if anybody knew of any other number I could contact them on? I want to see what speeds (if any) are available where I live (about 1 mile from St. Marys Church in Crosserlough)

My brother has Net1 for the last few years - It's nothing but trouble and the excuse is it's related to weather,,, the tree's across the road blocking the signal...etc,,etc... He is on a carrier with Eircom but is currently looking to getting a 2nd Eircom line and disconnecting Net1.
His Neighbour has Eircom and it's reliable - At least Eircom will still be there in the future but with small companies like Net1/ICE/Smart/Perlico etc - It's dodgy times and I'd hate to be without phone or BB for more than a day - Wasn't that long ago that SMART where in trouble.

Up to 5 months ago we had Adelphi Net1, however during an internal audit process here we discovered that they had been struck off the companies register involuntarily. Upon contacting the CRO we found out the reason for company was dissolved: failing to file accounts with the CRO since year end 2005.

Having attempted to contact their support a few weeks before the above and also having had no contact from their accounts department on foot of the above the direct debit was cancelled.

I since note that the company is now again properly registered with the CRO however no accounts have been filled for Year End 2008.

We have since got broadband for another provider.

hi just looking at this crowd, and did a check with the cro, the accounts seem way out of date, last accounts to date is back in 2007...

has anyone had any dealings with this crowd lately? how are they performing?

Its anyone did ping test?? like to

    ping rte.ie -t
    ?

I think phone calls are the most reliable way of making contact with them. From what I've seen on boards, they offer a high-quality service with ping times that would beat DSL on high interleaving.

I was onto NET 1 this week as I am just not happy with the service that eircom is providing me with. I had an engineer down yesterday and he told me that there would be no problem installing their service. I have heard they are very good. I am the going for 6mb pacakge with phone so I had to also buy the router for as I want to run an xbox 360,PS3 etc anybody had problems using these on their service. I live in the Manydown Close area of Dundalk anybody from that area have NET 1?
