Price: £65 ( £25 deposit to secure place, £40 payable at the event )

    Age Limit: 18+ only
    Booking cutoff date: 31st July
Confirmed Retailers: JD Airsoft ( formerly Airsoft Armoury ) & Flecktarn

Website with official info can be found on the following link:
    http://www.fireballsquadron.com/?page_id=421

The Fireball big game is held on a 300 acre mature woodland site and is quite simply an amazing site. It's not milsim, it's just a good old fashioned scenario-based weekend skirmish.

Many of the players in NI have been going to this event for years, but many of you won't have heard of the Fireball National Game ( or international game as it became known ) due to the fact that last year, it was a scaled-back invite-only event and the year before that it wasn't on. In 2006, when it was a 300 person event, 50 of the people there were from Ireland.
This year, the event has a 400 person capacity and there will very likely be a rather large contingent from NI going to this as it's one of the airsofting highlights of the year for us.

I'd like to cordially extend the invitation to the boards airsofters to join us this year. Lemming went last year and I hope he'll be able to vouch for the site / event.
Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons, the Fireball site is over 18s only.

I've set up a dedicated subforum with more info on ASI including a guide of sorts for those wishing to attend.
I usually submit an ASI group booking for this and anyone on boards would be welcome to avail of it, or there is of course always the option of booking directly with Fireball Squadron.

Hope to see a few of you there! icon_salut.gif

For those who haven't been before (which is most of you I should imagine), this site is fantastic. It's a very well developed site with plenty of scope for mixed styles of play; sniper, recon, trigger-happy, etc. Even some CQB in "the village" (wild-west village) and a couple of other areas.

And don't forget your pyros :D

Just to clarify Casper asked in advance for permission before posting this as it does link to an outside forum.

Looks like a brilliant event, shame I can't make it. I'm sure some of the diehards from here will represent the rest of us (not looking at Lemming at all!).

For anyone trying to plan trips in August that Fireball weekend, the last one in August, is a Public Holiday weekend on the Offshore Island. The August holiday in the Republic and Scotland is the first weekend.

If you can't make it to Fireball, there's also Op. Balkan Thunder (Fri 31st Jul to Sun 2nd Aug) up in the Wee North, at Predator I think.

Last year I flew into Birmingham airport with Aer Fungus (so called courtesy of their "baggage" charges) and scared the bejaysus out of the HMRC officials.

This year I'm driving (if I'm going).

This event is one not to be missed!
    Last years event was brilliant.
2 years before that with 342 players was fantastic.
This is a site with something for every player, no matter what your style of play is.
    Highly recommend this.
In fact I booked the holidays off work last November in anticipation of this event!!!
