    Hi all

Im not 100% if this is the right place for this thread so my apologies if its not.

I flew to Dubai in 06 with Aer Lingus,

I went onto their site this morning to price up a holiday but Dubai isn't on the list anymore?

Is it just a summer route or has it been pulled altogether?

    Thanks

Aer Lingus stopped this early last year because of low passenger numbers. I think Etihad still have a direct flight though

Etihad fly to Abu Dhabi which is near enough

Dubai was planned to be brought back again as summer only at one stage but I dont think this ever materialised

Dont think EI will return to Dubai. Their ending of the route was a big embarrassment for CEO Dermot Mannion

    Never was a runner.

Idea was connections to the Far East and Oz.

Any fool including myself could have told him that that wouldn't sustain the route.

Maybe he thought tourists to the UAE. he heh

I have been there several times and it's a great place and many the pint of Kilkenny I drank in Thatchers bar in the Dubai marine.

However your average Paddy wants ,An Oiirish Pub, wall to wall bars.

So Dubai vs Orlando..... KO round one. Nuff said there ya go.

    Noooooooooooooo frikken contest.
