    Hi all,

Can anyone here recommend someone/company for this and any idea how much it would cost.

I have had some major extension work carried out and need this to be done.

    cheers,

    hi,

We recently had a structural survey completed on
a property we were buying near Mullingar. But he told us that he works everywhere.

The house was 1800 sq ft the survey cost €400.
The guy spent over an hour looking at the property including checking things like the drains, plumbing and heating system and of course confirming that the property was structurally ok and had no damp problems.

When the report was ready he met us and went through everything. The guy was a Chartered Engineer & Surveyor. If you are picking a surveyor I think its very important to check qualifications. It is likley that a surveyor will also be a BER Assessor and will also be able to give details of the new grants.

    sean
