SRAM & Shimano Compatibility

    Some help please.

I want to set up a second bike and was thinking of using a SRAM Record Groupo. My current wheels have Dura-Ace cassette. Will my current cassette work with the Record chain, or do I have to change the cassette each time? (Older SRAM Groupo's used some Shimano bits...i think...)

Also anybody using the Record Groupo, any comments?

    Thank you.

Record is Campagnolo, not SRAM mate, and they're largely not interchangeable iirc

Sorry, I will start again. Correct this time...

    Some help please.

I want to set up a second bike and was thinking of using a SRAM Force Groupo. My current wheels have Dura-Ace cassette. Will my current cassette work with the Force chain, or do I have to change the cassette each time? (Older SRAM Groupo's used some Shimano bits...i think...)

Also anybody using the SRAM Force Groupo, any comments?

    Thank you.

10 speed sram chain will work fine on a 10 speed shimano cassette, or 10spd campag for that matter. Just make sure your old durace cassette is not too worn for the new chain.

will work fine. sram and shimano cassettes are interchangable - they will work with either sram or shimano chains and derailleurs. i use sram cassettes for my ultegra set up.

never used sram shifters etc so can't comment there.
