    Hey Everyone

Quick question for those that know their stuff. is it possible to watch NTL Digital on a PC without a telly? Or let me rephrase that: is it possible to connect the digital box directlyto a PC or a PC screen and watch the TV without the need of getting a tv?
Currently I have tv tuner conencted to regular ntl and works fine but have been thinking of upgrading to Digital - the only problem is I do not have room to put nice big telly anymore and viewing tv on pc screen or a projector would be great solution for me.

Do you think it would be possible?

It is possible. You need a video input which will take in the scart feed from your box. Some TV Tuners will have this, and some video cards have them too. (they may not take a scart directly, may also need a simple adaptor)

Some newer PC LCD screens also have video inputs of some sort in addition to the usual VGA/DVI inputs.

Most TV capture cards for PCs only have composite and s-video inputs - most set top boxes only output composite and analogue RGB - composite looks awful IMO, and only very expensive capture cards (i.e. professional models) have analogue RGB inputs.

Alternately you can get a "VGA box" or video upscaler, which is a device separate from a PC that will take TV video and will output to VGA for connection to a video monitor. Some of these have RGB SCART inputs, and some will input analogue YPbPr too (even HD resolutions) which can be handy for older game consoles etc. The good ones can be quite expensive though, and I'm not sure which ones are good these days.

I did this years ago to get some screenshots for an article on the old ICDG website. My video capture card of the time had only an RF input. The solution was to use to plug my digibox into my VCR's SCART-in and my VCR's RF-out to my capture card. Worked well enough for what I needed it for - not that I would advocate it as a permanent solution - it won't give you the best picture.
