    Hi All

Sorry if this has been asked before , I'm sure it has but couldnt find it . I work away from home and am staying in a house with a free to air sat box. I was wondering if I bought a Sky box on Ebay could I bring my card from my box at home and see my channels. I dont want to bring my own box with me. Does it do any harm to the boxes to keep swapping cards. Any advice on what to buy on ebay.

    Thanks

Have been doing that for a few years now. You won't be able to get any extra subscriptions you have with the second box, so no movies/sports. Just don't do it for too long at a time though because if the card is out of its original box for too long it'll die and need to be reactivated by calling sky.

...oh and any sky box on ebay should be ok but it'd be better get a recent one as some of the old ones were quite slow.

Honestly couldn't say, but i've definitely done it for more than a week with no probs. It's not the end of the world if it does get cut off.. just call and say the box was plugged out or something:D
