Unwanted Dial Up Window

    Hi,

    Trying to solve a problem on my parents PC, they've XP with Sp3 and eircom BB.

    Frequently enough, (about 2/3rds ) attempts to browse the web cause the window dial up networking (their pre-BB account) to pop up instead of using the BB.

    Hitting cancel on this causes the web to "work offline" and you then need to untick the "work offline" option under file menu.

    THey have AVG Free virus protection, and I've tried hijack this and adaware but haven't managed to find any rogue programs.

    Any other suggestions?

    Start->Settings->Network Connections.

    Right click the dial up one and delete it.

    Or go to Tools, -> Internet Options -> Connections

    and under the box marked "Dial up & Virtual Private Network settings" Make sure it's set to "Never Dial a connection"
