Reason I ask is that I usually feel GREAT aprx 48hrs before my period. My mood lifts, have more energy(can work out for longer), feel very creative(more cooking, read more interesting books, paint great pictures), feel like talking to everyone! its greaat! Any ideas why? Can I buy that hormone please!!!:D

GAH I'm trying to remember that graph from Biology...I *think* It's oestregen. Yeah pretty sure. FSH is released before oestrogen, then oestrogen inhibits FSH and causes the lining of the womb to break down.

The 'eat everything within a 12 metre radius for 6 days straight whilst being a narky, bloated cow' hormone normally kicks in for me approx. a week before. Once it arrives the 'clean everything within a 12 metre radius' one normally takes over...

Happens me too, lots of cleaning and getting horrible jobs out of the way, its like the high before the crash. I'm usually extremely thirsty, as well as a carb junkie, but I'm mentally sharpest at that time too.

How boring men's lives must be to feel the same every single day of their lives.

i was only talking about this the other day.
my mood never changes. Ever. the odd time i get a little bit teary but it doesnt have to be anywhere around that time, and once i have a little cry i'm back to normal.

The 24 hours beforehand I want to shower every hour on the hour. Plus I always choose to wear really strange combo of clothes that I would never normally put together as an outfit. Strange I know! :o

Do we? And you'd know that how? :P

Now, where can I get me hands on some of this energy-giving stuff? :)

Well in a hormonal sort of way (although I suppose that's not really the case).

I think if we gave you the stuff you might grow moobs, and develop an interest in pink things, so maybe you'd best avoid it!:)

    +1

i get ''in the mood'' a week before A LOT... and extra narky extra emotional and extra tears usually creep in to kill the buzz along with the bloating:( im the definition of PMT or so im told...

the only good part is the bigger boobs i get for the duration of the period and the antichrist time...
