PC Alarm & Runtime errors - 2 probs

    HI folks

    Two separate problems

1/ Of late I am getting an alarm noise from my pc, a sort of a high pitched nee naw sound. It's not coming from the speakers and if I mute everything it's still there. Often it disappears as quickly as it appears. I read somewhere it may be something to do with the fans??

2/ I'm also doing a bit of file converting and moving files around drives in explorer. For the past 2 days every so often I get a runtime error popping up, that when I click "ok" it disappears, closes the explorers that I am working on but that's it - no other effects. Any idea what these relate to?

    Cheers for help

    Hi

I think it may have something to do with the software I was using to convert file (Super) - the pc performance was running at over 90% when this was running and when I shut it down the alarm went. Is there something would cause this alarm if the pc was close to maximum performance?

As regards the error - I cant remember exactly as I got rid of it anytime it popped up but it was definitely when I was moving files around explorer and I think it had "Runtime error C++"

I'll get more info at home tonight if it happens again

    Cheers
