    That would be a disaster.

Its going to get a bumper crowd either way and it would be unfair if only one or two clubs get massive paydays out of it.

    Ridiculous suggestion.

Fair enough, obviously Id prefer if it was a home match for Bohs in front of a full house.

Pre-season tournaments, world club championships, etc. are held in the one stadium. I don't see why not.

    Friday
    17.15 - 19.00 Match 1
    20.00 - 21.45 Match 2

    Saturday/Sunday
    14.00 - 15.45 Match 3/5
    16.45 - 18.30 Match 4/6

I would hate to lose a home game for such a ****ty idea. Why not just have an international friendly there and get the stewards up to speed that way. or even an U21 game or something.

Not to mention the problems it could cause if certain fans were near their rivals. Silly silly idea.

If the match stewards cant handle 200 Bohs and Rovers fans theyve no hope of managing a full stadium.

I think they'd be better off having an U21 or U19 international there.

It would be nice if they were doing it purely to promote the league rather than doing just so they can have a dummy run. The idea isn't much use to teams outside the Dublin area anyway.

Have the match on a junior cert exam day. Problem solved.

Uh-oh! Better make sure they watch TV3 so they know what formidable forces they're up against!

    FAI chief executive John Delaney said;

“We’ll also probably hold some League of Ireland matches in it before the first international match.

They will be used as a learning curve for stewards, turnstile operators, caterers, all those things. You can’t just switch it on so they need to be tested.”

OH FFS, no mention of the interests of the league of Ireland - all he's worried about is the ****ING CATERERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I actually think that proves what Delaney and the rest think of the LOI. The whole attitude of 'ah sure, just put a LOI fixture in there and that should get people used to the running of the stadium' says it all

Tend to agree. LoI clubs should look for payback on it... such as goal end hoardings for the league on all internationals.

Well it should be easy enough to fit all the LOI fans in the stadium at one time so a one ticket for all the games seems fine!
