Panniers, Carriers fitting

I got a set of Ortlieb Back RollerOrtlieb Back Rollers. But I can't seem to fit them far enough back on the carrier, so that my heel doesn't clip them. I've just a standard carrier. But the problems is the top rail doesn't go back far enough. All racks seem to be the same length. I can push the carrier back, but then top rail won't be level. Any ideas?

the clips on the inside panel of the panniers can be shifted forward and back along a plastic guide/groove... have you tried that yet?

I use back rollers on the my rear rack too. Try to adjust the clips as ba suggested. If still no luck, move the rack back. It's no big deal if the top rail is not level - mine certainly isn't - as long as it's not sloping ridiculously.

Yeah I tried the clips they are at their max, unless I move both clips to one side. I'll try slanting it a bit ut I don't think its going to move the bottom of the bag much. Are these bags especially deep or are other frames longer. Its just just an old MTB.

It's OK to move both clips to one side - that's how I have mine mounted. That should give you enough clearance.

Does your carrier/rack have that extra bar on the bottom? Mine doesn't. I think I might need that.

    It's this one:

All the fittings on the pannier - the two clips and the top and the yoke at the bottom are pushed all the way forward.

Actually that look like it goes back further than mine. Might get that. But good to know someone else needs to push the clips right over. It didn't seem right.
