Hey, me and my mates are thinking of planning a trip to the World's in April. Just wondering, does anyone know what the story is with getting tickets, is it pot-luck (excuse the pun) what match you get or are fixtures released before tickets go on sale? Also, what's the best airport to fly to and is there anything else in Sheffield worth seeing/doing?

Screw the snooker, make a weekend out of the Heineken Cup Final, you won't regret it. We go every year regardless of who's playing, tis savage craic.

Eh no, I think he wants to go to Sheffield because he likes Snooker. Not to go see some borderline hetero men tackling each other and slapping their arses.

Good luck getting to Sheffield, would love to go myself if I had the money!!

I have tickets for the Heineken cup final, but flights are ridiculously expensive and I don't want to commit until I'm sure that an Irish team are in it!....Anyway, back to snooker.

    hi there,
been there a few times over the years, best bet is to fly into manchester, that way you can get a cheap flight with ryanair, there is a train station in the airport and you can get a train direct to sheffield, from there it's just a few quid in a cab to the cruicible, i'm sure you can check on line with british rail what times the trains are, loads of b&b's and hotels in sheffield, regarding the tickets you can buy them on line on the worlds snooker website, the site will also show you the draw so you can choose whatever matches you want to watch, they probably wont advertise the tickets yet until the final round of qualifiers ends on march 10th, best of luck you will really enjoy it, you won't believe how small the cruicible is!!! you can click on the world snooker website link from our clubs website at www.crossgunssnookerclub.com

Sad to see Jimmys dream crushed for another year, beaten 10-8 by Andy Hicks

Final qualifing round begins on Sunday, Doherty v Greene. Swail v Couch. Williams v Ford. O'Brien V Burnett. Davis v Spick. Judge is in it too!
No easy matches at this stage
