restoring Pin Blocked Sky card used as freesat

    i have an old skybox with my old skycard inserted. I cant remember the pin. Is there any way to reset the PIN. I am no longer a sky subscriber. I only use it to view the free to view channels

    The last 4 digits of card number, or the last four digits of the card it replaced, if card was replacement for older pale card.

    Only the newer dark blue with yellow house card works (Feb 2009). There may be a 2nd card replacement this year.

    Dont think that the card in the box is the original one that came with the box inthe first place too.

    saw a post a few days ago on a different forum, where this guy said @why pay for the skyfreeview when any canceled sub card becomes a freeview card, letting you watch all sky free channels and others like the BBC range and ITV's etc. Because my card is pin blocked I cant see the extra channels I added.

    No, you are mistaken. It will revert to "FreesatFromSky" not "Freeview" (which is the UK terrestrial service).

    Only cancelled UK cards not Irish ones become "freesat from sky" cards.

    FTA or Freesat channels don't need any card on a Sky box.
