Curious to know if anyone had / has one of these things? In their day they were the dogs ba**ix of Walkmans, First manufactured in 1984 and remained virtually untouched for a period of almost twenty years. Used by the press and those recording bootleg at concerts. Sound quality was amazing but in to days standards would be considered a dinosaur. I bought one secondhand in the 90ies and still have it about somewhere. They were over 300 quid when new.

I've heard of them. Nearly bought one in the past but didn't.

They come in topics over here from time to time.

Have one of them here. Line in/mic socket is kaput and Sony supplied the wrong replacement socket.
I got it from a mate who used it to record bootlegs.
