    Hi,

I'm getting married in about 6 months, and I want to get my hair prepped for it! I'm growing it, so wont be getting a cut til nearer the day.

What i'm looking for is a really good conditioning treatment to do once a week. Dont want to have to go to the hairdresser for this as I want to cut down on at least one expense!!

I'm looking for really shiny hair!

    Any ideas?

Closer to the day...maybe one week before ,you could go to the hairdresser and get a clear gloss..That adds tons of shine without changing the color of your hair.

As for the weekly deep conditioning treatments:

Cheap: Pantene Time Renewal Replenishing Mask

More expensive: L'Oreal Liss Extreme Smoothing Masque

    Extremely expensive: Kerastase Masqueintense or

Aussie do a '3 minute miracle' tretment, it's not expensive and it really works. Please don't leave your hair without a tiny trim between now and the big day because any split ends will get worse and the condition of your hair will suffer. Get a hairdresser you trust to take a couple of millimetres off in the meantime.

Can you get a clear gloss in any salon? How expensive is it?

Yes, you can have clear glossing done in probably any salon that does color. It's not expensive. All it is is semi-permanent hair color without the color. So you get the shine of fresh hair color without changing the shade. It's not something you need to go to a very expensive salon for, because it's almost impossible to mess up. I think I've paid around 40USD in a mid-range salon...Or you can go to a beauty supply store and buy the product and do it yourself for even cheaper.

I would swear on a bible by a hair conditioning treatment thats available in my hairdressers. Its called Nanomax and it puts the Keratin back in your hair. It repairs it and makes it so shiny and silky smooth! now I don't know where your situated, but its available in my hairdressers in Mayo. If your interested you can pm me and I'll give you the number if your interested!

whoops just read that you don't want to go to the hairdressers-I use hot oil treatments which are cheap and make your hair nice and shiny

Lee Stafford conditioning treatment in a tub is fab - you use it in between the shampoo and conditioner, and leave it on for 5 mins.
