    • Lost money?

    • Been splashed by a car?

    • Caught their micky in their zip?

    Seriously, its gonna be a crap day for me but not "Friday the 13th" kinda crap.

    Only a few hours until somebody divides by zero and the universe self implodes => Unix time = 1234567890

    I think the fates will go easy on us today to lull us into a false sense of security and then BAM - this day next month there'll be dog poo and zipped mickeys everywhere.....

    spent 5 hours on a trolley in an overcrowded A&E without seeing a doctor and surrounded by a walking freak show after a total misjudgment of the problem by an emergency GP, if that counts.

    You make your own luck in this world.

    Friday the 13th is a day like any other.

    Pighead's scared stiff of Friday 13th. Have already called in sick and will sit here and do absolutely nothing all day long. Apart from a parachute jump at 4.

    Not really, considering we decided to leave without having seen a doctor...Would have been another 3 hours at least to see a doctor.

    Never had a good experience of Friday 13th so far, this morning leaving for work found a 20 euro note on the footpath at the bus stop, nobody else there so I thought nice one! and pocketed it. :cool:

    When I got to work the OH rang me to say she lost 20euro on the way to work. :(

    So....is this a good Friday 13th for me or a bad Friday 13th for her? :p

    Prob give it back....i get guilts :(

    I'm having a great time here at this summer camp me and my friends are at. It's great. It's just one long party!

    Although one of the kids here seems a little odd. He doesnt want to take off his hockey mask. I'm going to go and ask him is everything ok. Be back in a bit!

    Its all because of a corrupt ancient pope that Friday the 13's are seen as bad luck.
    It just more superstitious crap, brought about from Rome! :mad:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,659 ✭✭✭veryangryman

    As i read this thread, a colleague sent en email by accident. One of those "talking about people" type emails that you occasionally send to th person being talked about

    On topic, i cancelled a dental appointment today, just in case*
    Also a mate is flying today who is already paranoid when getting on a plane.

    <rant>
    The only thing i dread about planes is the camp staff that Ryanair employ and the awful safety announcements. The prices of food used to irritate me but now i just bring along my own, so that nasty inconvenience is removed
    </rant>

    *Am joking. There were other reasons, but lets keep AH fun :pac:

    i went to make tea but we're out of milk :mad::mad::mad:

    but, according to the wisdom of qi:

    "Friday the 13th is luckier than the average Friday, according to Dutch statisticians.
    A survey published by the Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics (CVS) reports that less accidents, reports of fire and reports of theft are reported Friday the 13th, than other kind of Friday.
    Dutch insurers claim that 7,800 traffic accidents happen on the average Friday, but this figure falls to 7,500 on Friday the 13th. However, while fire and theft reports do fall, the average cost of the lost is slightly higher."

    For some reason I was reminded of the pregnant nuns running round in a convent shouting benedictus.

    Thats because people are extra careful on Friday 13th - hence less accidents

    Me = Genius

    Now wheres my wine:P

    Burnt my knuckle while cleaning the George Foreman, and the brandy's not helping dull the pain.
    Maybe I should drink it instead of dipping my knuckle in it.

    So in reality if you have further complications after leaving the hopo, you will blame in on it being the 13?

    I was actually born on a Friday the 13th. I like telling people that just to see if they'll say "That explains a lot!" and then laugh their asses off to their incredibly original, imaginative joke that I've heard about a billion times.

    I then grab the hockey mask and machete...
