The dimension of a small square bale is 14" high, 18" deep and usually 36" in length. However length is adjustable, so may vary.
Based on your truck dimensions you could fit 54-60 per row. So if you have 8 rows, then ca.450 bales.
Number of rows will depend on how stable the load is and also if there are any low briges, utility wires, big branches, etc. on your route.
Get an experienced person to give you a hand making load, as its no fun loosing part of the load, especially now as there is so much traffic on the road.

You'll find it hard to get small square bales to buy now because of the labour involved in stacking them, loading them and taking them off. The majority of hay sellers will have round bales or large square bales with a suitable machine to load them. Also, the majority of farmers buying hay don't want to have to handle small square bales because they have tractors and facilities to feed larger bales.

You'll fit 14 4x4 round bales on the flat of your trailer. You should easily bring 3 rows. that's 42 round bales or equivalent to over 600 square bales (taking that there is an average of 15 square bales per round bale)

From someone who has drawn an awful lot of square bales over the years, If you build them properly you'll get 45 bales on a row on that truck. I wouldn't go a whole lot more than 8 rows which will give you 360 bales. I make some square bales too depending on demand if that's any use!!
