Anyone heard of Eurolantic Advisory Group?

They rang out of the blue yesterday, asking for my partner's name (not the name that's in the phone book). Having got our email address, they've sent us a 'Welcome' email (including a link to eurolantic.com) saying they specialise in 'creating unique investment advisory solutions', etc etc blah blah. He sounded English on the phone, but I've no idea what country they're in. We had our number removed from the National Directory Database years ago, and cold calls are quite rare these days (except from Pure Telecom, that is).
(I'm refraining from going to the website, as a precaution).

    From the website:

    Eurolantic
    Head Office
    Switzerland

    Grellingerstrasse 75
    P.O Box
    CH-4029
    Basel
    Switzerland

    info@eurolantic.com

They seem to be an investments company, of some sort. Did you ask how they got your details?

Why did you give them your e-mail address?

Not much on eurolantic.com to be honest, looks like a general template crap site imho

Expect follow up e-mail/call asking for bank account details/card details.

Its boiler room. I'm sure of it.

Its a scam. Similar to getting you to out business details in no existent directories for 1500 / year, telling you a great investment guaranteeing 100% returns etc etc etc.

Its not regulated and your money WILL be lost.

Next time they call tell them to F%^k Off without getting into any further conversation and your name will be deleted from their calling list.

Thank you for your thoughts, people, and the info.
It looked like boiler-room etc to me, and I would have told him to **** off as soon as he announced himself. My partner's wise to people asking for bank/card details, but not computer savvy quite yet (hence gave the email address).
As I download the mail for both of us, any more from that crowd will just get the same treatment as any other spam (zapped on arrival).

    Thanks again for your replies.
