Enjoyed Serial Experiements: Lain soundtrack. Very cyberpunk, very cool. The opening isnt along the lines of the rest of the soundtrack but it still is a nice song. Texhnolyze also has a great intro song and a nice ending.

Gungrave soundtrack is brilliant, very Jazzy and Orchestral (violins, double bass, organs etc), nice Acoustic songs in it also. The whole OST is very diverse with the music. Defo worth a listen.

Someone posted saying how the Berserk soundtrack was very repetitive but i liked alot of the songs (even have a few on my MP3).

Other than that i cant specifically say which tunes from series are good, i have a few songs here and there from different series. The opening Tune to Black Lagoon is great (Red Fraction by MELL)

maybe not the best but certainly the catchiest imo. There are very few anime theme tunes that I can start humming if I hear something mentioned about the show.

The main theme for "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" I find just gets into my head and stays there for the rest of the day.

I'll try not to repeat any people have already mentioned:


The first Death Note op (The World).

Some of the Gundam SEED ones (Pride), and Gundam Wing (Just Communication).

Claymore's op and ed fit well together and with the tone of the series.

Also, all four ops for the Nanoha series are great. (Yay Nana Mizuki )

Code Geass has some good songs - my favourite op is the first one for R2. And "Zero" (the music that plays whenever Lelouch pulls off an absurdly daring scheme) is an awesome piece.

Finally, look up Reason, the opening of Tekkaman Blade (dubbed as "Technoman" with a different song).
Fun fact: Blade has a laser attack called Voltekka (seen at the end of the op). Game Freak made a game called Pulseman, where the main character has an attack with the same name which turns him into a ball of electricity and fires him at enemies. When Game Freak went on to make Pokémon they included an attack based on this, romanised as "Volt Tackle" (Pikachu's Final Smash in SSBB is Pulseman's version).
