    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good au pair agency ?

We're looking for someone to give us a hand with our 16 month old. We live in Kildare, we're a bit rural (a few kms from nearest town) - don't know if that makes a difference.

Do people here use agencies or the internet or ... how else ?

    Many thanks.

We used "The European Au Pair Agency" for years. It was run by a woman called Sylvie Le Vasseur. We had a problem on one or two occasions and Sylvie was very quick to sort it out. Would highly recommend.

Does anyone have any general advice or gotchas on how or where to hire an au pair ?

I'm finding a lot of agencies are not answering telephone calls.

Should we try to "go direct" ?
