Tinted moisturiser

Hey everyone. I've got a voucher for BT that needs spending and I'm in the market for tinted moisturiser. Unfortunately I'm clueless as I've never bought or used it before. I use a mac foundation and powder in NC-15 but it's a little dark and heavy for day-to-day wear, so I'm looking for something a little bit lighter on the skin that will also give some protection against the sun.

What I'm looking at right now is Benefit's Rebel Lite moisturiser. I haven't had a chance to try it yet so I don't know what it's like- if anyone has had some success with other tinted moisturisers I'd love a recommendation of some brands to look at. I'm not too savvy when it comes to brands/types of makeup so any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks!

If its just a tinted moisteuxier your looking for, I use Nivea tinited moisturiser. It has an spf, is really light on my skin and can be bought for under a tenner!
I never use foundation so on a night out I just use a little bit extra and cover with powder to set it.
I dont know if you'll get it in BT's though but good luck with trying it out!

I tried Benefit's Rebel Lite but found it quite yellowy in colour, although it looks quite pale in the tube. It didn't blend well on my face and had a strange texture. My skin is quite greasey and I found it just melted off my face and I actually looked worse while I was wearing it than if I was bare-faced!

Laura Mercier is brilliant for sheer, natural cover.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely take a look at those moisturisers.

Dr Hauschka Toned Day Cream is THE best imo. Its natural too and good for your skin. It makes you look really radiant. . .u can get it in Nourish health stores

Definitely can't recommend Nivea Tinted Moisturiser!
Wore it and several people asked me was I sick, my skin was such an off colour!

I recommend Clinique's 'Almost Make up' - it's what I wear to work and it's really nice, SPF 15 I think.

Clinique also do 'City Block' - that's their face sunscreen which you can get in SPF 25 or SPF 40 or something. Nowhere does it mention that it's tinted, but when I bought it I was pleasantly surprised that it acted like a VERY light tinted moisturiser (light in texture, not colour).

I second the recommendation for Laura Mercier. If you want something that's VERY lightweight, another nice one is Traceless by Prescriptives.

I also recommend Clinque's City Block, it stays on my skin throughout work and tints me just enough I look healthy :)

Found You Rebel awful on me, looked ill, but my sister looks fantastic in it, maybe get them to pop it on you to try it and see how it goes for a day?

    I agree on this.
I tried it and thought it was absolute muck.Only suitable if you're interested in replicating jaundice and looking like you're in need of a liver transplant.

I love the Lite You Rebel. I think it gives a really bright look. I had the darker one before and it was awful but I really like the new shade. I only bother with full foundation if I'm going out at night.

I second this... I'm a big fan of Traceless... always looked natural and felt great on my skin. Oh and another suggestion is to take your time picking one... have them apply one in BT and go off for a few hours, check it out in differant light and in differant mirrors and see how it feels after a few hours. Most of the make up counters will give you samples so you can get a few your interested in and give them a trial run at home for a day before you decide. It can be hard to know exactly how a tint/foundation looks on your skin in the stores, much better to check it out in natural light. Good luck!

Nivea stuff isnt good at all
If you put on too much it kinda clumps and rubs off, it goes blotchy, it doesnt moisturise at all, it dries out my skin, or else it just disappears!
I guess you get what you pay for
