Buying in the states

Does anyone know if there'd be any difference between buying a Creative in the states instead of in Ireland?

I'm going over in a couple of weeks and I'm considering getting one while I'm there but I don't know if there'll be any difference in the firmware or anything...

    Any ideas?

I've bought numerous mp3 players in the USA and never had any bother using them back here in Ireland. Most come with a lead to charge via USB or you can pick up charger for mains in Ireland or online.

there will be a slight difference in the firmware but nothing that will hinder the functionality of the device.

by law audio players sold in the E.U. - thanks france - have to have a volume limit incorporated into the firmware.

these looks quite good - even have wifi - http://ie.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=17811

and a memory card slot for adding more memory.

sure anything you pick fon will be perfect with regard to working over here \o/

let me know how you get on as i'm planning to buy a new player when i'm over in the states in the summer.
