    Hi all,
I have a laptop with Windows XP (with 500MB of RAM) and I am looking to ensure it is as protected as best possible, so I have 3 Q.s.

    1) Free Anti-Virus Recommendation:
I see on this forum that Avast & AVG are recommended, but a number of times I noted that one works better depending on the OS & amt. of RAM.
So which one would you recommend for me?

    2) Remove others?
I don't know if this confuses things but in 'My Programs' I see I have 'Network Associates - Virus Scan' along with another program called 'Norton Ghost' and in 'Control Panel' I have 'Symantec LiveUpdate'
Do any of these need to be removed???

    3) Security Centre:
Also, I noted in looking at this that in 'Security Centre' (in 'Control Panel') the following options.
    Firewall ON
    Automatic Updates ON
    Virus Protection NOT MONITORED
Are these Security Centre options ok?

    Thanks a mill
