Rasing funds to volunteer in Tanzanian

    I'm 34 and being made redundent in July. I've decided to spend 3 months volunteering in Africa working alongside villagers building projects they have initiated themselves such as the construction of village dispensaries (health centres), school classrooms, pit latrines and staff houses for teachers and medical staff.

    The cost is €3000. I've got €1000 myself and am looking for donations to mke up the rest. I hope to get 2000 donations of €1 through paypal.

    It's a great idea. BUt just be careful that you don't use any of the public's money to fund your flights/accomodation, as that's an abuse of their goodwill.

    However, if you're paying for those yourself, and are just raising cash to bring over essential goods, then people should react pretty generously to that.
