Anybody got any advice/recommendations on Laser hair removal??

And where in Dublin is good to get it done??

Lots of places with very good deals at the moment but I confess to being sceptical and wondering where the catch is...... Or were these places merely creaming it in the good times and now are trying to attract custom??

Any advice or details of personal experience very welcome!!!

I haven't gotten it done myself but I used to work in a spa that offered it. The place I worked in and everyone near us jacked up the price and only really cut about 50 quid off their original price so really shop around.

I think I'm right in thinkin (from tLL) that you're naturally dark haired and fair skinned? If that's the case then you're probably a perfect candidate. Also there's no set number of sessions required. Some people will need 6, some people can take up to 20.

It is a long term investment so I'd chose the place carefully as you'll be going there every 6-8 weeks for however long you need. It can be painful (I got the patch test done only) but it's only a sharp stinging pain that last a fraction of a second. The skin can be red or pink for hours or days afterwards so aloe vera gel is the best thing for cooling it down. If you're getting your bikini area lasered then don't do it when your period is due because you'll be more sensitive to pain.

I don't think you're in dublin but please god don't get it done where I worked. Awful awful place with terrible therapists and an even worse money hungry owner. I'll pm you the name if you want.

I'm currently in the middle of treatment and just to point out its not gauranteed removal its a hair reduction treatment. Best results come from fair skin and very dark hair (almost black). I have had 4 laser sessions so far quite pricey but imo completely worth it. I'm mainly having my chin treated and i'm starting to see results - i get it done every 4 weeks the pain is just a warm sensation and kind of a sting at the end. Its uncomfortable but bearable,
The main thing is to go for a consolation before starting anything and the beautician/tecnician can talk through what will happen and if they think it will work or not. I wish i started it sooner tbh.
