Makeover..

I've never particularly tried hard to be a fashionable person. I've kind of got my own, off-beat thing going, and while I don't look bad I always kind of wonder what I could look like if I made any effort to look amazing.

So, say I wanted to go about a makeover. New hair, new wardrobe, new makeup. How the hell would I start without going completely broke? I really just want it for a day, just to see the potential, like one of those makeovers they do on afternoon television.

Don't really know where else I could put this, so I guess I'm just asking-- how can I do this cheaply and just a temporary, for-a-day thing? Should I find people who are in training for these sorts of things and be their guinea pig? Like an in-training beautician and hairdresser or whatever?

I'm looking for the same thing exactly but every thread like that ends very quickly and noone seems to know the answer.
I just googled 'makeover dublin' and got this address(among others):

    http://www.professionalmakeup.ie/hairandmakeupnew.asp

Don't know if it's any good but if you try it or find anything interesting plz post it! :)

You could get a personal shopping service to help you pick out one outfit. I think they do it in debenhams and topshop in stephens green.

For the hair you could go to a trainee or something like that and just get a blow dry or nicely styled if you don't want to get it cut dramatically.

For the make up, just go into clerys, arnotts or any big department stores go up to the beauty counters and ask if they could help you pick out some make up and they would usually do it professionally for you. Go in early-ish in the morning and they pay good attention to you since theres not that many about. One of the make up artists at the benefit counter in Clerys did my whole make up for me one day as there wernt many customers in around the place.
