The government spent $50m on 7,500 electronic voting machines and €650,000 to store between 2004 and 2007, these machines were never used and will most likely be scrapped. Thats hard to be beat, so whats your personal celtic tiger wastage. Mine was spending €2,000 on a threadmill that I now use as a clothes hanger. Know a guy who spend €10k on flying lessons and didn't even pass the test, now he can hardly pay his mortgage, so whats your top celtic tiger wastage.

I wasted bandwidth replying to this message*

*May or may not be true as I don't fully understand what bandwidth is, and whilst I do want to find out some day, today is not the day and this thread is not enough to warrant the wiki search

Super, another fúcking recession/end of the Celtic tiger thread.

I'll try to answer this seriously for once:

None. I've been away from this country once, for a week, when I was fourteen on a school tour (no foreign holidays for me!) and had to wear my older brother's old clothes until I was well into my teens (he's exactly a decade older than me). Now there's no money left anywhere in the world because your generation had to buy that second fúcking house and the brand-new Lexus. Sickening, absolutely sickening.

    Frada,that was a waste of a post..
    Seriously.
Not one referance to the OP hanging his threadmill in the wardrobe.

Well-balanced breakfast programs for children has created a generation of ultra-strong super-criminals; midnight basketball taught them how to function without sleep.

    lets see,
i spent 5 grand on my car, most i ever spent on a car.
my computer cost €150 on ebay.
i have a 32' CRT tv bought 6 years ago.

Yeah the celtic tiger was good for me:rolleyes: The recessions been better, as long as i have my job which is looking good still, i reckon the next few years will be better for me than the last.

Cullen could have brought them (e-voting machines)to China when he went to the Olympics. They recycle electronic rubbish there.;)

I'd probably have to say my biggest Celtic Tiger wastage was when I bought those troop carrying Helicoptors that couldn't carry troops...

I posted on this thread this morning.

    It has disappeared.

    Why?
