    Hi all,

Just want to see if there would be much demand for this.....I know similar has been tried before but would just like to see if demand is there for this.....

3 NLH Hold'em freezeouts to take place in May/June. Say 3 consecutive Saturdays or Sundays....€300 Entry .

    Each week players to be awarded points under the following places;

    1st 250
    2nd 200
    3rd 160
    4th 130
    5th 110
    6th 90
    7th 80
    8th 70
    9th 60
    10th 50
    11th 40 28th Final
    12th 30
    13th 20
    14th 10
    15th 5
    16th 3
    17th 2
    18th 1

With 100 players we would have 30k so essentially 3 * 10k prizes (should just about cover flights and accom but no buy-in for WSOP side events).

My idea would be to have the top 9 players in the league come back on the fourth weekend to play a deep stack single table tournament for the three tickets.

    All feedback appreciated.

    Stephen.

is the buy in not 10k so in effect 30k would only get you 3 buy-ins no, not enough for flight and accomodation?

hypothettically speaking you could win all 3 tourneys and not get a ticket

just a suggestion if you ran a Weekly/monthly freezeout(maybe WSOP structure) with i package for every €12500 in the prizepool and leftover in cash prizes.also if you got people to pre register like in IPO through one of the sites(maybe someone would sponsor)

i know myself like a lot of players I wouldn't be able to make it 4 weeks on the trot

at least that way you would have a fair idea before hand how much intest there was

    eg. 250 buy-in 150 runners = 3 packages

just an idea see what you think

Entry to WSOP is $10,000 so €10,000 (c. $12,925) should cover buy-in plus flights and accom.

    Cheers for the feedback all.....

What I really would like to know is would players prefer to play just the three tournaments and have the placings decided on points or would there be a need to have a playoff amongst the top finishers?

The reason for holding three tournaments is the idea that the best overall players should be there or there abouts over the course of more than one event.

    Stephen.

I would definetly play in that if I could. If I was to make a suggestion I would say that if there's any extra money in the pot, then that goes to the top placed finisher in the league, if there's enough in the pot for an extra ticket, then they don't have to play in the play off, I'm always a fan of rewarding the cream :)

    Hi Stephen,

You'd have to award more chips to the highest place finishers aswel. Say everyone at the final table starts with 10k chips and for every 10 points they have, they receive an extra 100 chips.

Not sure how many people could play 3 x €330 games in 3 weeks and whether you would get 100 entries to fund 3 tickets. Its a good idea but you'd have to do some homework so that it doesnt clash with any decent events on around the same time.

Maybe throw up some sats with an online site into the €330 games and you might get a little more interest and get better numbers.

The €330 would be a once off payment surley?

I'd like to see a 500 Sat for a WSOP Package to include
Flights, accomadatiion, plus buy ins to 3 side events. (with the otpion of the WSOP super Sat)
I would not be 100% sure I could play a 3 game league and I'm sure there are many players in the same boat.

Have some Sats into your 500 game also.

    GL with it.

    I don't think he means 3*330 games
The only way this could possibly work was if it was 3 * 110 games with the 3 paid up front in advance of the first day.
The reason he needs to have a 4th game is that if you just pay the top 3 over the 3 games there will be a turnout of less than 30 for the third game and as people's satellite chance disappears the opportunities for soft play and allsorts of messing becomes too much for chimps to resist. Of course there would be some element of that as the bubble for the top 9 over three weekends approaches too.

This - to finish top of the League and not qualify would be a kick in the teeth.

Alternatively, you could award the winner of the League a package and play-off for the 2 remaining packages.

Yeay yeah that makes more sense. I was tired and didnt read it properly so i reckon you pay the €330 up front and then be available for 4 consecutive weekends.

Ok, based on the above feedback here is what I am thinking:

Once off payment of €300 - should have made that clearer in op - (+ reg fee which will have to be confirmed based on venue costs, tournament structure etc)....

I'm now thinking Thursday 4th, 11th and 18th in say the Crowne Plaza (Airport Hotel). The reason for the Thursday is because as mentioned above I think a lot of players would struggle to make three weekends in a row. If its a work night the tournament can start at 7/8pm, have a reasonable amount of play and still be finished by 2am which I think is ok to get up for work for on the Friday morning.

With 100 Players we could do two packages worth 12,500 Euro with 5,000 euro left over which I would award to the individual league winner.

The 4th tournament (i.e. the playoff) would then take place on Sunday 21st June (to give enough time for players to book flights etc), The top 9 league finishers would get a 10,000 starting stack with an extra 1,000 for every 20 points scored (haven't gone through the figures on this just yet so its just off the top of my head).

    w'cha think?

    Stephen.

Thats far better Ste, i like the look of 3 consecutive Thursdays and i'd be up for it. No probs starting at 7/8 and finishing about 2am either IMO.

If added 1k chips for 20 points, maybe a starting stack of 15k would be better for the playoff
