    Hi,
I was looking to but a couple of games for the Wii while I'm Stateside since they are having great deals on them atm. Would I be able to play these Games on my European/Pal Wii?
    Thanks.

Wii is region locked, you wont be able to play American games on your Pal Wii without hacking it.

You can get a Wii freeloader if you don't want to hack your Wii. I won't work with a few games and won't work at all if you have the latest updates.

The other problem is that american and japanese games don't output in scart so if you don't have a HD TV and cable you are stuck with the awful picture quality from the standard AV cable.

Thanks RetroGamer. I guess I'll wait until I'm back in Ireland to get those games.
