Disneyland Paris

I've just booked flights and hotel for Disneyland Paris in April for family of five. Flights with Ryanair approx €300 return. Disneyland hotels were quoting me €2,000 for three nights , so I've booked a hotel about 4 miles from Disneyland for €390 for the same three nights :D!!!

I intend driving from Beauvais airport to Disneyland. If anyone has done this drive previously, I'd be interested in hearing how it was, what route is best, etc.

My main query is where is it best (ie, cheapest) to buy tickets for Disneyland? Should I buy online now or wait until I get to France?

Also, has anyone any experience of the Walt Disney Studio park? Is it any good? I don't get much impression from website about what there is to see and do, unlike Disneyland park itself, which is a no-brainer and seems ideal for kiddies and adults.

    All advice and comments welcome....

we preferred the studio park, my son in 10, the prices are pretty much the same on the internet as they are over there, get a 2day 2park pass, they are quite expensive tho.. but worth it. what hotel did you book? enjoy

    Hey,

Im a 12 time visitor to Disneyland Paris!

If you're staying for 3 nights then I'm assuming you want a four day ticket?
If you buy just a normal 4 day ticket then per adult it cost €156 and per child it costs €133.

However, you can Buy annual passports which will work out cheaper.
The Passport Annuel Fantasy is €129.

If you choose the passport you will also get free parking in Disneyland ad will get 10% off in the restaurants and 10% off in the shops.

Have a look at this for more information http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guides/practical/annualpassports/

I just checked the blackout dates!
    Passeport Annuel Fantasy

    • 2nd, 9th, 22nd, 23rd and 31st May
    • 4th, 5th, 12th and 13th July
    • 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th September
    • 28th to 31st October
    • 1st November
    • 19th, 20th and from 26th to 30th Decembe
None in April! So you're good to go!

Unfortunately you cannot buy an Annual Passport on the Disney website unless you live in France

Hi - just back form Disney.

The Studio park is great but a lot smaller - you can do all the studio in half a day and then finish the day in the main park and it's well worht a visit.

They have a couple of rollercoaster rides, the tower of terror - drop from a height job and flying magic carpets for the youngins.

There is also the studio tram tourwhich is a good attraction and a few sit down shows - Stitch live where animated stitch interacts with the audience, Animagique a song and dancey show with Mickey and Donald and Cinemagique based on the movies which all our family enjoyed.

Crush's coaster is insanely popular so be prepared to queue - no fastpass..

    ....

2000 seems very expensive - we booked through Disney for five of us and got it for 800 - 4 days, 3 nights - you must be just outside the 15 year anniversary specials.

That's a great price OP, but we got it better. Heading over Wed week. 2 Adults, one child, €725 inc. Staying in santafe hotel, breakfast, free admission to the parks, "Magic hours" transfers to the hotel from CDG & Aer Lingus flights. Booked through a site in the UK.

http://www.dlrptoday.com/ Is a good reference site.

If it's your first time in disney, here's a tip for you - go left. From the queues to the park itself, take the left, it's almost always faster

    If it's your first time

I don't think Santa Fe is an option for a family of five though - you are restricted to about six locations if your family is bigger than four.

I bought 4 for the price of 3 days tickets from this crowd http://www.attractiontix.co.uk/europe.asp?referrer=msfeboffers

You print off an e- ticket and present it to the guest services when you arrive. We were able to upgrade them to annual passes no problem once we arrived -they just knocked off the price we paid from the price of the annual pass.

I went to Disney with the KIDS not too long ago. We stayed in a self-catering apartment 85 euro/night (low season) for a two bedroomed flat, loads of room, 5 mins from Disney (2km) in a small cute village. There were four of us but the flat slept upto six comfortably.
Tickets into the park cost us: 100 euro per adult for a three day pass & 90 euro per day for each of the kids, which we got on the day at the park.
    So the whole thing came to: 85 x 3 = 255
    Park passes (100 x 2) + (90 x 2) =380
    Total = 635 euro

    2000 euro is madness!!

Here are the links to help you get it cheaper:

Disney (in French, tickets are always cheaper in French!):Disneyland Paris

That flat sounds ideal but tell me this - were you driving over there or on public transport?

Remember I got four days tickets for five plus three nights in the hotel for my 800 bills - Disney were doing good deals for the kids - still are I believe

I tried public transport ONCE, never again. Too much hassle with the kids. If you're flyin' into CDG call or text a guy called john: 0033665566121 (mobile) he works for a really cheap transfer company it's no frills but the guy is really nice and he's Irish so no problem on the language side of things. He brought us from CDG to Disney for 60 euro each way. That works out cheaper than the bus. We usually fly into Beauvais when we go to France because of Ryanair cheap flights and we always use him, and I would recommend him to anyone.

800 euro sounds good for Hotel and park tickets.

I think Disney are doing under sevens 'stay and play' for free. We got the annual pass, great value! I can't find the receipt but it worked out at: 1 day pass + 29 euro and you can go for 300+ days a year!

Yeah - I heard that John guy was good value.

I actually meant from the apartment you were renting - how did you get in and out of Disney?

Getting in and out of Disney was a breeze, public bus service. During rush-hour there is a bus every 10-15 mins. During off hours every 20 mins, or so. The bus service runs from 6am until 2am ! The trip takes less then 10 mins.
Not all perfect though. On Sundays as everything closes the bus service only runs a bus every hour. But the timetable at the bus stop was very exact, to within a minute or two.
We did take a taxi once as there was a big line at the bus stop in Disneyland and the kids were fedup with lines. I think it cost us 6 or 7 euro.

    At Disneyland Resort Paris

    Bureau Passeport Annuel
    • The home of all things Annual Passport, the Bureau Passeport Annuel is located to the left of the Discoveryland entrance, behind the Royal Castle Stage. Here you can find out more about the passports, talk to one of the helpful Cast Members or buy your chosen passport and get it there and then.
    • If you bought a 1 Day/1 Park ticket or 1-Day Park Hopper ticket to get into the park, then the cost of your ticket will even be deducted from the price of the Annual Passport!
    Park Ticket Desks
    • You can also pay for Annual Passports at the usual ticket desks of the two Disney Parks. You will receive a temporary pass, to be exchanged on the same day for a full Annual Passport at the Bureau Passeport Annuel.

    Collecting your Annual Passport

    • If you purchase your Annual Passport from anywhere other than the Bureau Passport Annual itself, you will be given a special Temporary Annual Passport which will give you access to the park for one day only. (This pass must be used before the date specified on it)
    • You must then visit the Bureau Passport Annuel to confirm your details (usually including showing your passport or ID card as proof of identity) and have your photo taken for the final official pass, which will then be printed and presented to you within 5 minutes!

The number works fine for me though it'll all be in French as the annual pass seems to be aimed only at the French (the phone message is French only and the annual pass information is only available on the French version of the site.)

If you manage to get the number working (00331 60 30 60 85) you press 2 to purchase a pass and 3 to order the brochure)

    http://idf-offres.disneylandparis.fr/passeport-annuel/index.xhtml

It may be easier to just buy it at the gate when you turn up. You pay for it at the ticket office, you're allowed entrance to the park and on the left there's another ticket office where they take a photo of the child and make the official pass.
