Had our 2nd car (madza demio) NCT'd today. Failed it on a visual leak, tester brought me in under to show me that the bottom of the tank looked like a 'wet spot' and when he padded the centre dry it reappearrd very quickly, No drops etc and from the petrol guage and the milage we're getting its def not dropping out.......but its still a leak & needs fixing to pass.
Any ideas? I'm considering a patch with chemical metal (a paste) and then using a black sealant over that (sealant looks like a very thick paint), Car parts shop seems to think it would do the business. thoughts ?

by the way very happy with the fact that it only failed on a visual like this - all other things passed with flying colours, not bad for a 99 demio bought this summer for 1K.!
