Check the clubbing thread, the digweed gig the other night. Somebody posted a comment about the night, and they were working there that night. Surely they'd know?

hmmmm... while the owner might be in some legal problems at the moment I doubt such a successful venue will over close down.

i think it could easily close, i wouldnt say its his main earner, dunno though...

i rarely go, i dont really know any regulars. suppose the younger amongst us would be more regular where as most people i know are more so headliner regulars, like the mentioned digweed, my favs, zabiela, sasha, and in my youth PVD.

i dont think it would be a major loss but who would house these guys when they come over? tripod wouldnt imo be a loss, although i wouldnt be so sure about pod. personal preference maybe.

i hope not, i love tripod, and they put on a massive amount of gigs not just dance orientated so id be really suprised.

at the same time though, on a saturday now its "access all areas" including the 3 pod rooms, and the 2 smaller tripod rooms.maybe they were having trouble filling it?? i was there a while back on a saturday and while it was busy it wasnt jammers-could easily get served and that.

id still be very shocked though, not to mention gutted!

p.s. its no redbox though! miss that place.

Well, they've been successful so far in the wednesday night they run for students etc, place absolutely packed - 20 minute at cloakroom after etc.

But em, to be honest, id only go their for a gig, have never been on a saturday yet. Dunno if this 515 thing is still going even......

    Again?

Hasnt been the same since the last refurb. The crammed old Sweatbox with the tunes pumping was the real deal, anytime Ive been in Tripod the sound has been too low and it is only maybe 70% full, I wouldnt be surprised if it is having profit problems.
