    Hi

Does anyone know if it is okay to buy concert tickets and raffle them in work or put notices of this raffle in local shops? Also if anyone has any knowlege about packing bags in supermarkets for money I would appreciate some advice.

The selling of raffle tickets comes under Gaming and Lotteries so you need to work ou exactly how much the tickets cost, how and where you are having the venue and the prises on offer and value of the prises. Go to your local Garda Station and tell the Garda you wish to apply for permission to the Superintendent. Fill out the form there and then and hand it in. You will be notified by the District Office if your application has been approved.

As for collecting at Supermarket, Im not too sure but it probably fails under Street and House to House Collection. Similar process as above.

    Hope that helps

Thanks Thenog. i called into the local Gardai and they said that if i was holding it within work only then I don't need to apply for 'permit to promote a lottery' otherwise i do.
