First period after starting dianette

I started taking dianette 3 weeks ago last Thursday when I got my period (as my doctor told me to do). I took the last (21st) pill Thursday last week and have been expecting to have had my period over the weekend, but I haven't yet. Is it usual for it to be late for the first month?

You body needs time to adjust. If you are any way worried just talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Mine normally doesn't start til a few days after the last pill, I wouldn't worry about it just yet

I finish my pill on a Thursday and my period would typically start on a Monday. However, my flatmate recently changed pills and her first period was really late. She was panicking she was pregnant, so I did a bit of research and most websites say it's quite normal to have a late or missed period when you start a new pill, as your body is adjusting to it.

Talk to your doctor if you're concerned though.

So it's one month later.

Took the last pill on Thursday at my usual time, and was expecting my period yesterday but no sign of it yet except that I've been very horny for the last day or 2 (sometimes happens when I get my period).

Any advice?

I'm on dianette for about 5 months and the first time I was expecting my period, I stopped taking the pill on Monday and didn't get my period til the following Saturday. It caused a few sleepless nights!

I'm not sure dianette agrees with me though, my period is quite heavy and I still get period pains. Although, I think it's one of the highest dose pills you can take which is a great thing on one hand, and maybe not so great in that it isn't particularly pleasant. Hmm, maybe i should talk to my doctor!
