Have heard from a friend the venue has been changed from Santry to Tymon Park. Can anyone confirm this for me? AAI website fixtures still has Santry down as the venue. Anyone out there know?

Yes, its changed to preserve Santry ahead of the inter-clubs on March 1st I presume as some other races are being held there in the meantime also.

Just a note that the venue has changed on this - the wrong one is still up on the AAI website fixture section. The plan is to have it at Tymon Park, Templeogue instead of Santry. Registration at Faugh's GAA ground.

Feel free to add your predictions or impressesions of the event to this thread. I don't really have a clue who will feature - be interesting to see how well the novice winners fare in intermediates.

with the event being hosted by Rathfarnham

Should be fun - expecting it to be a lot more competitive than the novice, but we'll see soon enough ...

From what I can make out from the map it's going the opposite direction to the Leinster Senior race. That means there's one hill steep hill each lap and you'll be running down it.

Remember how you said the Novice was slow and you were the only one willing to push the pace...that's cool! I just managed to get past the turn for the finish before being lapped. Hoping to do the same on Sunday....yip, that's my goal, to not be lapped, never mind make the medals!

Good luck on Sunday though. Looking forward to reading another good post from a race leader's perspective.
