Just wondered why you were looking for a firecard, haven't really read much about them. Are they better than the other usual suspects (Acekard,Edge,Cyclos,R4,DSTT etc etc)?

With a firecard you can put up to 20 games onto a cartrage the same size as the normal ones with nothing sticking out. The card is not for me personaly just my little sis.

R4 will store approx 40 games on a 2gb card and supports most games so far

I think most modern cards are flush fit, like a commercial card, at the very worst a couple of mm's sticking out.

I've an R4 and an M3Simply, both are the same size as a standard game cartridge.
The R4 (the real one) is IMO the best one out there. Had the best support of all the cards

I've never heard of anyone with the firecard, or noticed it on any forum, until your post. Do a search on the R4 (and how to identify it's the real one) and you'll see how popular it is

PM if you want a site to order from, I bougth a few for friends just before christmas and they're delighted with them.

I have a firelink card. My mother actually got it from someone in work selling them with roms (which is dodgy to say the least). It's a decent card in that it works with the majority, but not all of the roms out there. It comes with a usb adapter that plugs into the GBA slot at the bottom and then it comes up on a windows pc as just another usb device you can drag and drop onto.

Critisicms are that it's relatively slow to transfer large files to (usb 1) and afaik, firmware is no longer being updated.

not sure where to actually get one in ireland without ordering thru net.
