Hi everyone. First time poster, long time reader.

I have a few questions for the SEAC committe.

in the minutes both fiona and steve clearly stated that they will be stepping down at the first oppertunity, but on the site it says that both have requested positions?

i asked why this was the case last nite on the forum, where both are admins and i had my posts edited, deleted and i was then banned for a week without any explanation or notification, by the afforementioned parties.

i was also told that as i was not a paid up member i didnt have a opinion.

before i can part with my hard earned E200 id like an answer to this.

im not tryin to **** stir here or accusing anyone of vested interests but i dont think that there should be any commercial interests sitting on a comitte.
i dont think its alloweed with the IAA so why should it here.
and i think 12 committe members out of a group of 25 members is way too much and will only cause hassle and slow thig down.

my self & 4 friends are all ready to pay the E200 fee but with the behaviour we saw last nite were not so sure:mad:

maybe im missing something here.

yah you are missing something, you were given a warning by a mod the warning stated, if you derail a topic again, you will get a one week ban, a new thread was created asking for votes only, no discussions, you went in there and derailed, thus the admin banned you for a week....if you could see the post i put up last night on the 1st thread all youre questions will be answered.

steven and fiona stated that they would step down from positions of chair and vice chair, then they asked for positions as general committee members, if you dont want that, then join the club, and vote against it, if other members vote them in, theres nothing you can do...

Why are coming here and trying to imply that you got no warning to stop derailing and all, its all up on site for people to see, the posts werent deleted, youre edited post had the explanation for editing written in blue block letters...how could you miss it..

although i had no involvement in the issue, it seemed that you went in and began to rise everybody...

My very first post was eddited to say I had no opinion. My second post had a question promptly deleted from it regarding the business holding all the forthcoming meetings to generate sales and another of my posts was completely deleted. All these actions took place without warnings or cautions untill I recieved the ban.
Why did they say they would be stepping down from the commitee and now they are requesting positions on it?
When will these elections take place, before or after all 60 people have joined?

You see, as i noticed before, you dont read a thread before you post in it,
youre posts that werwe edited had reasons typed in...

The business does be closed during our meetings...

Hang on now just one minute ,

You have a retailer ( for that's what they are ) talking about setting up a not for profit club in ( what i assume is ) your area.

There isnt a commitee elected ( that i know of) ,there is a site proposed. Surely these questions could be answered quickly in a phone call or a pm to the retailer in question ( who is online here a lot of the time).Personally, i have met the lads and would happily vouch for their integrity and honesty.
At the end of the day if you arent happy , then dont spend your money .

End of the day , if you are a club member then you have a vote , dont like someone ? vote them out.

steve and fiona have agreed to step down from positions of chair and vice chair. as paid up members, they have the right to apply for another comittee position. i i said to you last night, that doesnt mean they will be voted in. they do however have the right to apply, as do all paid up members.
once again, i state that the club is in no way affiliated with any commercial interest. it does not exist to ake a profit. it is by the members for the members. i have stated this on the forum at SEAC, and now i am stating it here for all and anyone to see. if you dont like it, then dont join. it is that simple. but do not try to stir the pot and make trouble. this point has been beaten to death, and it is not the fault of SEAC or steve and fiona if you are incapable of understanding this. we as members of SEAC will not lower ourselves to petty arguing and baiting. we also will not tolerate any bad mouthing or insulting of our club or any club, site , or organisation within the airsoft community. we are a club of good hardworking people who honestly want to promote the sport in the southeast. we have great relationships with many other clubs and retail outlets, because we are not a commercial venture.

I implore you to relax and stop instigating. we will not, as an organisation submit to this type of interaction.

hey there sperry, i am a paid up memeber and i have no commercial interest in the club. i am just a guy who loves airsoft and the community that we are trying to build in the southeast. steve and fiona were kind enough to do all of the hard work in the beginning to get the club up and running. they have now handed the control over to the club's members. I would also like to personally invite you to the open day on saturday. maybe i can clear a few things up for you. i am easy to find, as i am the only american guy in the club. please come down and enjoy yourself and get to know us. you just might like it.
As for the first skirmish, when we have the number of members required for the target set, the site will open.

On a forum note as a moderator, I must inform you that antagonistic behavior or provacative behavior will not be tolerated by anyone, including paid up members, non paid up persons, guests, or even the admin. this is a friendly place to discuss and share our love for all things airsoft. This is not a place to argue, provoke, slander, or "stir the pot"
while healthy debate is allowed and in fact encouraged, i urge you and all members of this forum to refrain from abusive behavior. Consider this an official first warning for inappropriate behavior. another breach of the charter will result in a temporary ban.

Hi All,

I would like to say that I personally have seen very good things coming from the new SEA Club. The work Stephen and Fiona along with the other founder members has been nothing short of amazing and the club would not be were it is without them. They have put in many long hours and hard work and should be applauded for that.

The IAA has been working with the club to assist in any way we can with the setup. If their are any airsofters in the South East this club is an excellent opportunity to get access to a fantastic skirmishing ground for a very small fee.

On the discussion I have seen here I would make one point. SEA-C like the IAA is a democratic body, if you don't like something you vote to change it, SEA-C and the IAA are owned by the members and it is you the members who decide how they are run.

Thats my 2c, best of luck lads, looking forward to the opening skirmish

Sperry. you were warned, you were banned. you keep going on. keep your money, spend it on something that will make you happy. obviously SEAC isn't for you. So, be a good person and let it go. IF you don't like what ya see, don't pay the money, but don't give grief to those of us who have. We have a great relationship with the IAA, retailers across the country, coillte, and the airsoft community in general. SEAC is not about to ruin all we have worked for just because you are looking for a scrap. take it somewhere else.

Actually this forum on boards has no connection with SEAC bar we both serve the airsoft community.

Lads you really need to sort this out via PM, email or on the SEAC forum. I don't expect to see any more comments here about issues on the SEAC forum from now onwards.
