    In our case, it's 15% -
    single income household, wife & two kids.

    Guess the figures will vary for single/married lots.

    Not counting rent received from tenants, id be looking at 50% +

    Rent may be dead money but so is compound interest... :eek:

    Take the total household income (after tax) against rent / mortgage. Number of people is irrelevant.

    63% when this loan is not taken into account.
