    I am a 24 yr old male, 6'4 , and 22 stone.

I started dieting on Monday of last week, where I cut out all "white carbs". I have been keeping it strict as possible as I am very determined to get fit and lose weight this time(when I say this time I have tried previous years but never this focused). Now I am not totally cutting out carbs as I eat veg, fruit, and beans. But I am eating chicken, fish ( sardines and salmon so far) and piece of steak today ( lean piece ) so plenty of protein. Oils wise I use maybe a teaspoon of Extra Virgin a day. I am eating nuts when hungry or an apple.

Oh and I am drinking lots of water.

Example of what I am eating :

    Breakfast

    2 poached eggs, and beans.
    Large glass of water.

    Lunch

Soup (Healthy Baxters one or home made, its been varied through out the week)
Salad of Tomotoes blitzed with some jalapenos.

    Snack

Few nuts, I like Brazil nuts the most.

    Dinner

2 chicken fillets steamed with large portion of String beans, with home made salsa consisting of Onion, tomato, chilli, cucumber.

    Snack

    Apple

Thats an example of what I had last week, I am replaceing all salt with a low salt soy sauce, but maybe only one to two teaspoon a day.

One thing in my favour is I trained as a chef for 2 years about 7 years ago, so I have a great deal of knowlegde when comes to cooking in fact its given me a chance to cook and experiment which I am loving.

On Friday I joined the gym , and went this morning, loved it , did 30 mins on treadmill and 30 on excercise bike. Only starting off so I stuck to some simple cardio. This coming week I am hooking up with a mate to give me an idea as to what to do weight training wise.

So thats my plan lads, what you reckon , is what I am doing going the right direction? One thing I will say the veg is certainly passing right through me ;)

Also I know its only been a week but I started at 22st 7.6lbs, but this morning, I have weighed in at 22st 0.2lbs, I know alot of that could be water though I suppose.

    Anyways cheers for reading.

    Chong.

    Best of luck with it

Have you decided on a goal you'd like to achieve?
