Driving home today I noticed the oil light showing up on the dash.
I've just check the oil level and its ok.
    What else could this be??

Its a 03 Pajero LWB btw.

    Thanks for any help.

generally that light means low oil pressure, It is possible to have low oil pressure and correct oil level.Really need to get a mechanic to put a pressure gauge on it and physically check it.
It could just be a faulty pressure sender if the engine isn't showing any other signs of a problem(lack of power, blue smoke). but get it checked asap. to make sure there is no damage. If it isn't the sender it could be fairly serious. good idea not to drive when that light comes on.

Don't drive it at all until this problem is diagnosed as the oil pressure sender or sorted otherwise. It could well cost you your engine which will be painful!
