It's a long way away, but who's going to be doing the Dublin Marathon this year? It'll be my first marathon...

If I'm rejected from the JET program, I plan on doing it. It'd be my first one too, I've only been running for 7 months.

another first timer.. ran half-marathon last year, so all psyched for the full one this year.. but probably won't start training til nearer the time, don't want to peak too soon! ;)

as the date gets closer i would imagine an awful lot of regular and not so regular poster's will be entering dublin.
last years dublin marathon training thread was one of the most popular with dozen's of people comparing their progress and target times.
it really is a case of the more the merrier
and yes i would imagine as the date approach's i will be one of those people

Im hoping to do it too- that is if I stay injury free and can keep consistently running. Furthest I've ever ran is 10k so it will be a major challenge.

I am a definite possibility for Dublin this year. I would like to see what I might be capable of over the distance and Dublin is a good time of year.

As krusty said 'sure why not' and hopefully I'll be coming off a successful sub 3 effort in Berlin :D

I'm thinking of aiming for Amsterdam this year so I'll miss Dublin :(

In a moment of madness recently I registered for Dublin. Probably a very dumb move seen as I'm pretty much guaranteed to be doing NYC a week later. I couldn't resist getting caught up in the 30th anniversary race and I'm on a roll with Dublin having done the last 5 (can't believe its 5 at this stage).

Yep I'm down for it already - if I go sub 3:10 I'm rewarding myself with a trip to my buddy's couch in Boston sometime around April 2010....

It's in the back of my mind, but first I hope to complete the 10 mile spring series in Munster (2 down, 2 to go) and then the Cork City Marathon (anyone up for that?) with the Bay Run Half marathon squeezed in between.

Note to self - Running a Marathon is sheer and utter madness.

If you are time chasing wouldn't Berlin or Amsterdam be a better race? Dublin isn't hilly but if you are planning 2:45 - 3:00 you'll want every advantage you can get.
