    Hi all
Just wondering since hurling has a very steep skill level to attain before you could play it with any proficiency what would the prognosis be for someone thinking of playing a bit of junior club level if they have never played the game before?I would think effort trumps everything but at the same time most people who play at this level started playing at under10 level and probably have been playing for about 10 years.

    So what are peoples opinions?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, just get some understanding of the basic skills and then jump right in. Like anything, if you practice properly and regurly (lets say half an hour a day, every day) you'll improve far quicker then you would imagine.
