    Quick Question
Had a look through the threads and saw nothing about this. I am thinking of buying an airsoft gun for light use, shooting cans, targets ect. Was looking for an assault rifle but im on a budget around of around 60 euro and saw this Ak 47.
    http://www.seairsoft.net/product_details.php?id=103&sub=41&subcat=Budget%20Range

Was wondering would this be strong enough to shoot cans with from a distance of 15+ metres or so and could it put holes in it? Or would I need a stronger fps than 140?Also what would the accuracy of a budget gun like this be or am I better spending the money?

    Thanks
    KOH

at around 140fps your at less than half the normal 275-300 of a standard aeg you can then guestmate that youll get half the range when using standard 0.20g bbs (you can get somewhere in the area of 100 ft / 30 meters with most standard aegs and sniper rifles)

of course you can get lighter bbs like a 0.12g and your range might go up but as the bbs are ligher your shots become more susceptible to wind.

ive got a classic army m15a4 and a KWA g36c both unmodified and ive never got either of them chronographed and at a distance of about 10 meters i hit a coke can (filled with water) and normaly by the second shot i can puncture the can.

Now im no expert on the subject but id recomend you get something like this instead http://www.seairsoft.net/product_details.php?id=116&sub=3&subcat=Shotgun it doesnt look the part like the ak might but it comes in at a respectable 276 fps meaning you can get the range you want and power to plink coke cans from a decent distance.

Some gus like that have a cheap, plastic gearbox. If I were you, I would try to save up and buy something like this... http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?cPath=22_30&products_id=1 It's only another e60, and will last much longer than some cheaper guns.
