Hey Guys Hope y'all can help.

I am a Tall Guy (6'6'') and need to get a bigger car, my current 97' Corolla 1.3 is starting to really hurt my knee when I drive for more than an hour.

    So some Facts:

Student, needs to be a reasonable price.

Under 21 Male so it has to be under 1.6.

    Not a Skoda, personal dislike.

    Any Suggestions?

    Cheers,
    Luke.

    Cheers for the reply.

    Some more things:

I bring Two of my friends to college each weekend so there needs to be boot and seating space.

If your not adverse to the looks, one of them popemobile cars (Kangoo, Berlingo, Doblo) would also fit the bill.

Plus it also works as a van in case you have any bulky hobbies

I'm 6'5" and the only small car I can drive comfortably (which is why I've had a few of them now!) is the Panda. They're VERY cheap and all under 1.6L...

It'll fit three people (putting someone behind a tall driver is possible, but not the easiest...) and the boot is a decent size too.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Don't even bother looking at cars with a sunroof , like the Primera in VBs post. A sunroof takes a couple of inches of space away...

A Fiesta might be worth a look. Herself is 6' 1" and has a renault Modus, very easy to drive (To Expensive).
Asked a lad about the headroom problem before and he said get a bike.

i'm 6'3" & my old focus had loads of room + it had sunroof.

Headroom isn't really the issue, like the bike idea, might be interesting bringing two passengers and luggage from Mayo to Carlow twice a week but hey ho :pac:

Thats why the focus was good, it was a bit van like in the front - the dash was quite simple & gave loads of room for my knees - best thing you could do is sit into as many cars as possible.

BTW. I think the Panda is a good idea too.

6 foot 6 myself. Got a 1.4 Honda Civic saloon myself. Lots of head room, and can drive no problem.

+1 on the focus. You'll have no problems with the centre console digging in, plus the driving position is high, you're perched on top of the seat

I'm 6'3 and I found I had load of room in the Focus with plenty space behind as well.

Its not a bigger car you need what you need is a car that has good seat/steering wheel adjustments, helps more then the size of the car!
The corrolla were rubbish i found for getting comfortable as a tallish person

    I'm 6'4.

First car was a Punto and it was ideal to drive. Easy to get into, no having to wiggle into position and you can move the steering wheel/seats with ease.

Second car is an Almera, good for space but not as much as the Punto. It's quite a low seat so requires a bit of a wiggle into.

Best car that I've driven for getting in and out of and having lots of legroom was the Astra (04 on). That model might be out of your price range though.

im 6'7" myself and about 21st and find there is ample head and leg room in the ford focus. it is also very easy to find a comfortable driving position

It can do..... But some seats can be adjusted lower, allowing more room for the afro :D
