Mosquitoe Nets and Sprays

    Hey folks,

    Have a mate heading to India in the next few weeks, does anyone know where I might pick up mosquitoe nets and sprays in Ireland or on the tinternet?.
    Hopefully somewhere that I could manage to get it in a week or so?.

    I highly recommend the mosquito spray from M&S. It's their own branded one, worked a treat for us when friends were suffering despite buying spray in chemist.

    When buying mosquito spray you want to look for the % of DEET in it as this is the active ingredient that actually repels the skeeters. I've found that anything less the 30% DEET isn't much good and don't even bother with the "natural" mosquito repellents, they are fairly useless.

    I wouldn't bother with the mosquito net tbh. I brought one to SE Asia the first time around and threw it away after two weeks. Pain in the ass to use and you should be able to get your room mozzie free with a bit of a pre bedtime massacre.

    Also, I think spray is fairly sh!te, regardless of brand or % DEET. We got some lotion after a while and it seemed to work much better. You also don't have to choke on the horrible fumes that you get from a spray. You can certainly pick up repellent and I think nets in any Tropical Medical Bureau but I'm sure a decent outdoors store could do the job.
