Alternative to Touche Eclat?

I used to love Touche Eclat, thought it was the bees knees, however the last couple of times I've bought it, I thought it had disimproved massively. It no longer seems to offer the same coverage and I find that I end up using a tube/pen of it in no time at all.

Can anyone recommend an alternative highlighter? (preferably a bit cheaper!) TIA!

Clinque do one called airbrush or something and it's very good.

Cheaper option, I've used the L'oreal one and I found it quite good.

I've been using Touché Eclat for years and years, it's normally been a staple in my make up bag but I ran out last week and found myself miles from YSL counter so bought one of the Dior ones. Have to say I think it's better. Slightly more coverage and bizarrely I've received one or two comments on how 'well I'm looking' ?!? Considering I've gotten no more sleep nor cut back on my wine consumption I'm giving the Dior pen the benefit of the doubt :D

Unfortunately it doesn't cost much less - was about $5 cheaper here for me. But you can buy them online for way less than the department stores if you make the effort. I bought the YSL one on feelunique.com a few months/year back and I think, if memory serves correctly i got 2 for the price of one. I'm sure they offer similar deals on other brands. (Note aplogies if I'm not allowed to post shopping links on here - am a newbie to the site)

No.7 do one which is alright. Touche Eclat did nothing for me, and the No.7 offered a little more coverage than TE. However, I may not be the best judge, considering I never liked Touche Eclat.

Another vote for no7. I think I heard once that they are made by the same crowd as Touche Eclat anyway.

The Clarins version is quite good too!!!

Thank you for all the replies, might check the No7 one out (or check the bank balance and see if I can stretch to the Dior!)

I've used both No.7 and TE, both are good, main difference being the price. No 7 covers well and they have 3 shades so one for everyone

I absolutely SWEAR by max factor panstick in any light shade. Its meant to be a foundation but I always just use it around my eyes. It covers my dark circles perfectly. It is the one bit of make-up I ALWAYS put on before I leave the house.

My friend (a beauty consultant) gave me a tester of Touche eclat, and I was delighted as Id heard so many good things about it.

I used it and couldnt believe how bad it was, it didnt do any coverage at all for me. My flatmate also tried it out and thought it was useless aswell. I went back to my panstick the next day - it gives me great coverage.

Apparently Aldi do a version of this and it's come out top in loads of surveys

Just a thought - are you sure you're applying it properly? I used to use it quite liberally as I don't use foundation at all. I was whacking a good dollop of it on my face until I started realising it's not designed for that purpose. It's a highlighting pen and really is meant for under your eyes and applied with a very light hand. I now use it (well before I ran out, but do the same with the Dior one) sparingly and very lightly press it in. To be honest if you use too much of any product or anything which is remotely heavy in that really delicate area, it'll just make you look crap.

I like Dior Skinflash. I never liked Touch Eclat, I found the coverage too heavy (I only use it under my eyes) and also after a couple of weeks the brush started to STINK!

I have had neither of these problems with Dior. However i'd like to try Cliniques equivalent as I recently tried their Superfit foundation and found it to be AMAZING!

I just use it under my eyes and occassionaly around the sides of my nose, I would say I only use a small amount each time, there just doesn't seem to be that much in the tube.

On another note, I checked out the No7 one last night and couldn't get over the price... €17! Since when did No7 get so expensive! Think i'll hold out til payday and splurge on the Dior one, I use their foundation anyway and love it.

I have both and while the boots 1 is fine it doesn't seem to have the same light reflecting effect.
It covers fine but its just not the same.
