    Hi everyone,

Im trying to decide where to go on holidays this year, just wondering if anyone can advise me?
It's just myself and my boyfriend, early 20s!We're planning on going around the 10th July, i have a few places in mind but im open to other suggestions!!! We've been to Turkey before and we loved it!! It was Kusadasi we went to so I was thinking we could go back but try Gumbet this time for a change!! My other thoughts were either Egypt or Tunisia!
We'd be the type of people who love spending the day on the beach or by the pool!! Love waterparks and themeparks!! shopping would be a bonus, not expensive €1000 handbags kind of shopping.. more like cheap imitations market kind of shopping!! lol :o:D
We also want somewhere where there is a good enough nightlife!! somewhere with a good selection of bars and maybe a few clubs but definately somewhere with a bit of atmosphere in the evenings!!!
My worst fear is ending up in some place with loads of kids taking over the pool during the day and by night being stuck in some hotel with some butlins type entertainment!!!! Id love some recommendations from anyone who has been somewhere that fits into what i described above!!!

I think you could try Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.

How about Chile? Valparaiso and the beaches of Vina Del Mar? Weren't too many sprogs about the place when we were there. Not too far from Santiago, the capital city either.

Being slightly biased for a minute I'd suggest Greek Island hopping if you can stretch to a minimum of two weeks , take in 2 or 3 islands , it's a fab holiday.

Aside from that, I didn't like Tunisia found it to be too restrained and quiet , maybe it was the resort we stayed in but we found ourselves wondering from hotel to hotel to see if there was anything going on , it was nice for a quiet week but I'm more into some form of decent night life with a bit of atmosphere. I've heard good reports about Egypt but never been , some of the hotels look fab tho.

Italy- you could do a few days in one of the cities & then a couple of days at the beach.
Loads of atmosphere at night even though its usually based more around restaurants.

Not sure if you are going for one week or two but if it is two then Id suggest Ko Pha Ngan in Thailand. Its got everything you are looking for - cheap shopping, beaches for lounging during the day, a massive party scene at night time and you won't see a kid the whole holiday. The only thing it is missing is themeparks but you'll get over that when you see the size of the Full Moon parties:D

    Thanks everyone!! :D
I think we've ruled out Tunisia now, I've heard the nightlife is non existent there!!!
Thanks for the other suggestions im going to check those out now!!!
Thailand is out anyway as we're actually going there later in the year so due to the expense of this we've ruled out any long haul trips that would end up costing a fortune!!! would have loved florida!! :(

I did think of Bulgaria but I heard the beaches are horrible, a group of my friends went there 2 years ago and didn't like it so it put me off a little. Has anyone else been there that liked it??

Croatia possibly? Dubrovnik is nice for 4/5 days then hit some of the islands such as Hvar, Korcula etc. Really enjoyed my time there. There's a good balance between lively nights and relaxed days!

We're going to an adult-only hotel in Cyprus at the end of August. We're early twenties too. Some of the hotels in Egypt are pretty child free too but Egypt is a no-no in summer imo.

    tenerife has everything you mention

some great cheapish accommodations in Los Cristianos with big pools, good sized beach in town

plenty of waterparks/themeparks to keep you busy for a few days http://www.whattenerife.com/tenerife-water-park.html

santa cruz in the north of the island has plenty of shopping, los critianos/playa de las americas has decent options too

there are tonnes bars/clubs in playa de las americas just a short walk from los cristianos, cristianos has loads of bars in its own-right, every second establishment is a bar

ryanair fly direct to tenerife, 3.5 hour flight from dublin and los cristianos is a short 15-20 min bus journey from the airport

My boyfriend and I are thinking of going to Paphos, Cyprus in July.
We're thinking of booking the Athena Royal Beach Club as it's adults only.
The reviews for it look really good :D
