Mac on Windows Network - Intranet Access?

We recently got a Macbook for the office to test our web-based application. I can see all our servers in Spotlight, and browse shares without problems (using our domain admin login, so it can see the domain), but I need to figure out a way of hitting an internal IIS server in Safari, e.g. http://mypc/default.aspx.

Is there a sekrit setting or procedure on the Mac that lets me do this?

Can I join a windows domain? The googling I've done suggests I can't, but I just need to be able to hit that internal site...

    Open to suggestions....

On my home network, I have a Windows Home Server and I can't seem to browse to it in Safari/Firefox if I use the WINS name (e.g "http://myServer"). However, if I use the server's network IP address instead, it works fine so maybe that would work in your case as well?

there can be issues using the mac on a windows network but its nothing that thiers not a work around for. depending on what version of os x you using varys the procedure. hitting the ip address is the best bet. make sure that all your network settings are correct. May want to tick box for file sharing etc. kernal should take care of rest (system pref's -> network).
