mac file recovery

    customer rang saying he moved all the pics from him camera into his mac

    when he went to look at the them, he couldn't find any pics


    not even a mac user myself as you can guess, so wondering if anyone in meath think they will be be able to determine if they can be recovered or not

    the first questions to ask are

    - how did he move them?
    - where did he move them to?

    it's kinda difficult to just move stuff without know where you've put them. Even dragging and dropping still needs that you choose the right window to drop into.

    Seeing as how iPhoto automatically starts when a camera or memory stick is inserted (if photo files are detected) then it'd probably be a good start to check iPhoto or look in the <user-name>/Pictures directory for the iPhoto library.
